Carrying on through Covid

How we have approached the covid problem and future plans
As the Club went into lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic, thoughts turned to how we could continue during these difficult times.

The answer came in the form of a 'Just For Fun' monthly competition (with themes coming from Club members) which has been a great success. Thanks must go to Ross Marven for 'taking the bull by the horns' and organising this.

The second idea which emerged was to have a more inter-active social media presence and the Club invited John Dixon to oversee this as he had the most experience in these matters. We now have presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, with links on our web pages. These are proving to be very popular.

Next season's programme has almost been sorted and this will enable us to hit the ground running when we can restart Club meetings. We are all hoping that things can resume with some sort of normality when September arrives. Highlights of the programme are to include talks by Lee Pengelly (local landscape photographer and You Tuber) and Lesley and George Carr (wildlife photography). We shall also be introducing Technical Sound-bites, where the more experienced can share their knowledge in camera technique or with post processing.
