Solely for the benefit
of members, the club runs a lending library that contains books,
DVDs and magazines. The lists, see above, may be printed out if
desired.
The task of running the
library is ably and kindly undertaken by Ann Owens and we’d
very much like members to take a hand in supporting the venture
by donating books, DVDs and magazines as well as borrowing them.
To make this really work we’ll need a continuing dribble
(or a flood if you are having a turnout!) of new material for
the library, and your help is requested in this part of the project
too. When deciding about a book in a shop, please also consider
the potential to pass it on to the Library after you have read
it. Readers’ Union and David & Charles slightly damaged
& stock clearance books are often very up-to-date, and can
often be bought for less than the price of a magazine at their
shop in Newton Abbot. (Behind the Railway Station.)
