The Club's summer
day trip out for 2007 was to Paignton Zoo. The morning
of 14th July promised fine weather for the smaller-than-usual
group this year and the early indications unfolded into
an excellent day for photography. The party gradually
split into smaller groups as the day progressed but
many of the members met-up for refreshments at 2pm.
Photo opportunities abounded and here are just a few
of our members' reminders of the day.

Founded by a
shy, eccentric, millionaire Herbert Whitley, the zoo
was first opened to the public in 1923 as Torbay Zoological
Gardens. From the earliest times education, conservation
and botanical themes were important. It is now a charity
dedicated to conserving global wildlife heritage and
inspiring visitors with respect for animals and the
environment.

A very good
day out was enjoyed by all and we look forward to seeing
a few of the photographs in the club’s autumn
season.
