Members of the Ivybridge Camera Club turned out on Tuesday 22nd February to enjoy guest judge Mr John Hooper from Tavistock rank photographs and slides entered for the first of the year's Challenge competitions. Mr Hooper admitted the high standard of photographs entered made it difficult to mark the top contenders and he said, "The club had produced one of the best and most consistent standards of work in the county." First place in the Colour print section went to Keith Mason of Ivybridge, with second place going to David Rayner also of Ivybridge. Bernard Howley of Saltash took third place. In consideration of the high standard of work entered, judge John Hooper also awarded 'highly commended' to Keith Miller and Colin Wilkins both from Ivybridge. In the Black & White section the top position was won by Keith Mullin of Ivybridge. Second place was awarded to Peter Pearce of Bittaford and third place to Keith Mason of Ivybridge. Clive Brown of Ivybridge took both first and second places in the Slide section with third place being awarded to Ken Luke of Lee Mill. During all of March visitors are invited to a free viewing of photographs produced by club members. The venue is the Corridor Gallery at South Brent Old School Centre. Opening times are from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Monday and Fridays, 10.00am to 8.00pm Tuesday through to Thursday and 10.00am to 12.30pm on Saturday. The next club meeting will be Tuesday the 8th
