Planned as a 3-way quiz for 14th June, the evening turned out as a 2-way event since Plymouth CC were unable to raise a team. Evening events in the summer are always tricky as members are often on holiday or out taking photographs! However, Liskeard competition secretary, Ann Owens managed to raise a team - partly by treating them to tea-time nosh-up at her home in Plymouth! Ann kindly invited Ivybridge team members to tea as well and Ann took the pictures below at her home.

The event was held at St John’s Church Hall, Ivybridge and was a great success with teams and audience all expressing their enjoyment. Keith Mullin supplied the 60 questions and acted as quizmaster for the evening. Dave Rayner acted as ‘Eric the Projectionist’.

At half time the Ivybridge team was lagging well behind and some suggestion was made concerning the number of glasses of wine Ann had served to Ivybridge members at her nosh-up! However after a sobering coffee and biscuit break served up by our local lovely ladies, Liskeard lost their previous wind and by the end were only one point ahead. Well done, Liskeard team!
