| A meeting held at St Johns Church Hall, Ivybridge on 12th October attracted 18 members who had entered a record number of prints and slides in a competition for the club's Challenge Trophy. The standard of the work entered appears to improve with the increase in club membership. As usual with 'open' competitions, judging was to prove difficult, entries were varied and many would have won a position in a specific category. However, a result had to be decided and it was. In first place in the colour print section was Steve Cleave of South Brent, second place was shared by Clive Brown and Dave Rayner both of Ivybridge. The black and white section was won by Eric Foster who also took the third position. In second place was Peter Pearce of South Brent. The colour slide section was also well supported and was won by Keith Miller of Ivybridge. Keith also took second place with Clive Brown of Ivybridge coming third. October 26th at St Johns Church Hall is our next
meeting. The club will meet at 7.30 pm to take part in a competition
based on 'SPORT'. Why not come and join us? Reminder for members and all interested - some
of the club member's photographs will be on display at St Johns Church
Hall for the Garden Show on Saturday October 23rd. Members willing to
assist with set-up on Friday evening will be welcomed.
