| Members of the Ivybridge Camera Club finished the club year with a busy and exciting two weeks. The annual general meeting held on December 7th was supported by almost all members and speedily dispensed with so the evening's entertainment could continue. Everybody was keen to hear Keith Mullin report on the photographs we were supposed to have taken on the photo hunt earlier this year and a number of groans were heard as members discovered they had sometimes not taken the correct images. Keith's talk was followed by the chance to see all the year's winning photographs once again and to judge them for 'best photograph of the year'. The results of the photo hunt and the Best of Year competitions were kept over for a week and announced at the annual presentation evening and dinner held at the Furzleigh Mill Country Hotel on December 14th where forty members, spouses and friends attended for a convivial and enjoyable evening. The Winner of the photo hunt turned out to be club Chairman Keith Miller from Ivybridge who received his prize from Hon President Dorothy Watson. Presentations of cups and shields for all the year's prize-winners were then made by Dorothy Watson. These winners have already been announced in the press through the year. Merit Shields were awarded for those receiving the best points totals for entries throughout the year with the Slide category being won by Keith Mullin of Ivybridge. Second was Colin Wilkins of Ivybridge with third place taken by Keith Miller also of Ivybridge. The Colour Print section was won by Steve Cleave of South Brent and second place went to David Rayner of Ivybridge. Club secretary, Clive Brown of Ivybridge, took third place. The Black and White Print class was won by Keith Mullin of Ivybridge with Peter Pearce of Bittaford coming second. Colin Lennox-Jones of Ivybridge came third. After a raffle of donated presents, which raised over £100 for the Chestnut Appeal charity, the evening finished with the moment everybody had been waiting for - Best of Year competition. The best Colour Print of the year was taken by Eric Foster of Ivybridge who also won best Black and White of the year. Best Slide of the year was won by Keith Miller of Ivybridge.
